When the tempo fader starts to drift, jump a few BPM when you let go, or only responds if you press it to one side, the carbon track inside the slide pot has worn through. This is the replacement tempo fader for a long list of Pioneer controllers – part DCV1011.
What it fixes
- Tempo that drifts after you set it, so the beat moves under the mix
- Dead spots where moving the fader does nothing
- Jumps of several BPM near one end of the travel
- A fader that only works when you push it sideways

Fitting notes
This is a solder-in part. Open the unit, note the pin order before desoldering, and clean the pads properly – a dry joint here reads as a drift fault and you will think the new fader is faulty too. The snap-in lugs locate the body; make sure they are seated flat before soldering, or the fader will bind through its travel.
FAQ
Do I need to recalibrate the tempo after fitting?
Usually yes – run the unit’s fader calibration routine so the new pot maps correctly across its travel.
Will this fit my DDJ-1000?
No. This is the 75 mm 8-pin fader used on the DDJ-400, 800, RR and SR2; the DDJ-1000 uses a different part.
Does it come with the fader cap?
No – the potentiometer only. Your existing cap pushes back on.
