The pot underneath lasts years; the rubber cap on top does not. On a working mixer the knobs go shiny, split at the seam, or come off in your hand mid-set – and a missing cap means you are turning a bare 6 mm shaft with your fingertips. These are the replacement caps.

Before you order – check the shaft
Measure the shaft the cap sits on. You need a 6 mm D-shaft (a round shaft with one flat side). A splined or knurled shaft will not take this cap, and neither will a 6 mm round shaft without the flat – the cap would spin on it.
Packs
- 1 cap – $19
- 2 caps – $24
- 3 caps – $26
- 4 caps – $29
Caps are almost never replaced one at a time: if one has split, the ones next to it are the same age. The extra caps cost little to add to the same parcel – the courier is the expensive part. Grey and black can be mixed in one order.
Fitting
Pull the old cap straight off the shaft – do not twist it, or you risk turning the pot past its stop. Push the new cap on until it seats; the flat inside the bore has to line up with the flat on the shaft, and it will only go on one way.
FAQ
Does it include the potentiometer?
No – this listing is the rubber cap only. If the knob feels scratchy when you turn it, the pot itself needs replacing.
Will it fit a Pioneer DJM mixer?
It fits any control with a 6 mm D-shaft, which is what the standard DJM channel, gain and master knobs use. Check the shaft before ordering.
Is the cap glued on?
No, it is a push fit and pulls off again if you need to swap it.
