The XDJ-RX2 display is a weak point: one knock on the jog wheel, a drink spilled into the top panel, or years of club use and the screen goes dark, flickers, or stops responding to touch. You do not need to replace the whole unit – these are the two parts that actually fail, and you can replace them individually.
Which option do I need?
- Display (LCD) only – the unit boots, but the screen is dark, has lines, dead pixels or a cracked glass layer over a working panel.
- Touch screen only – the picture is fine, but taps do not register, or the touch layer is cracked.
- Display + touch set – the screen is both dark and unresponsive, or you want to fix both layers in one go.
Best value: the display + touch set costs less than ordering both parts separately – one shipment, one repair, and no risk of ordering the wrong half.
Not sure? If the unit powers on and plays audio with a black screen, start with the display. If the screen shows the waveform but ignores your taps, start with the touch layer.
Compatibility
- Pioneer DJ XDJ-RX2 – all three options
- Not compatible with XDJ-RX3, XDJ-RX or XDJ-XZ – different panel and connector
What you get
The part in the configuration you select, with the ribbon connector attached as pictured.
Fitting notes
Power the unit down and unplug it before opening the case, and work on an anti-static surface. The ribbon cable must sit flat and square in its connector – a half-seated cable is the most common cause of a “new screen that still does not work”. Allow 45-90 minutes for a first attempt.
FAQ
Can I replace just the touch layer and keep my display?
Yes – that is the touch screen only option. It suits a working display with cracked or unresponsive glass.
Does the combo include the frame and cable?
The display and touch layers come as a matched set for the XDJ-RX2, with the ribbon connectors shown in the photos.
Will the new screen need calibration?
No. The module is built for the XDJ-RX2 and is recognised by the unit as soon as it is connected.

Do repair shops buy these?
Yes – most orders are from repair shops and owners fixing their own gear. The parts are supplied as individual components, not as a kit unless the listing says so.
